Martin & Monique

Martin& Monique

As many of you know, I very rarely shoot for family or friends. I find that I get so caught up in the familiarity of it all, that I end up shooting way too much, and ultimately am unable to get rid of anything because I have such an emotional attachment to each image..

Well, this is exactly what happened here. Below are only around 70 images of well over 1400 that my dear friends Martin and Monique will have to remember their special day by...

This special couple truly goes down in Rayphography history as the longest pre-booking its ever had. I was booked almost 3 years ago, and, when we first met almost a decade ago, they became one of my very first supporters and vowed to commission me to capture their vows someday... And here we are!

Dearest Martin & Monique. I wish you all the happiness in the world and Gods' richest blessings upon your union and lives together. I look forward to watching the two of you grow old together - because yes, I will still be there! I havent gone anywhere in over a decade.. So clearly youre stuck with me! :)

Thank you for allowing me to capture a day that everyone knew was inevitable. You two are the most amazing couple I have known.  Stay Blessed my friends. xoxo

Kelly & Kyle

Kelly & Kyle

When you just have to stop, roll your chair way back, and marvel at one of the most beautiful brides you have had the honour of photographing.... *sigh.... A quiet moment embracing the exit from single-hood from beneath the magic of the vail that will usher her into her new life when lifted by the man she loves....

One of the most graceful brides I have met. Cool, composed, classic and classy.. Her solo photo sessions literally took my breath away.. Both while I was shooting as well as during post-production.

What a beautiful story these two have. Proof that love has no limits on the distance it needs to be born and nurtured. Love will always find a way, to pull its parts together.

Kyle and Kelly, Thank you for choosing ME to immortalise the day, that love finally brought you together to never one another's side and be apart again.

Thank you for your beautiful review. It was an absolute honour.

Ray.

Theresa & Gershon

Threresa and Gershon

This was my first wedding shoot in South Africa after moving back from the UK.

Undoubtedly one of THE most amazing weddings that I've had the privilege of being able to attend- because yes, i DID feel like a guest!  The bride actually caught me shedding a tear a few times!

I often find myself thinking about that day, wishing that I could relive it.

Their story is so amazing and looking at them, there is not a shadow of a doubt that they are truly soul mates - a force to be reckoned with - the 'poster kids' for love finding a way despite all odds.

I've thanked them before, but I would like to thank them again.

Theresa & Gershwin - thank you for the opportunity. I will always be grateful to the universe for crossing our paths. Your love (and your amazing wedding) will forever remain an inspiration..

Ray.
